The 2022 Long Island Community Choice Awards announced its comprehensive list of all the top businesses on the island on Tuesday, April 18.

In the category of Best New Restaurant, Lynbrook eatery The Chef’s Table took the number one spot, beating out two others.

First opened in November 2022, The Chef’s Table Lynbrook serves up Italian fare in an open, bright banquet hall.

“Love this place, don't know where to start,” wrote Drew D. of Lynbrook on the restaurant’s Yelp page.

“The place was amazing upon walking in. We entered an open-spaced, spotless, beautifully decorated, and open-airy restaurant with ambiance to spare (good background music).”

On the weekends, The Chef’s Table offers Sunday Brunch and live music (new in 2023).

Not only do diners love the upscale vibes that The Chef’s Table provides, but the food seems to be beloved as well.

The menu includes dishes such as black squid ink linguine, ricotta gnocchi, and flounder oreganata, a wide variety of starters, and six different dessert options.

Debra S. of Lynbrook wrote that she tried her husband’s order, bucatini with carbonara white sauce, as well as her own dish.

“Oh. My. Gosh. It was AMAZING! Pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was heavenly,” Debra wrote. “I had the pappardelle with braised beef. Wow! It was flavorful, light, and the braised beef was super tender.”

She added, “We shared the pollo Valentina. It was outstanding.”

Whether out for a celebratory dinner or a brunch with friends, The Chef’s Table has something for everyone (and even has a kid’s menu).

“I've lived in Lynbrook my entire life,” Debra S. continued, “eaten at most of our village restaurants over the years, and am glad Lynbrook has this gem of a place.”

The Chef’s Table is open Tuesday through Sunday. It offers Sunday brunch and has outdoor seating. For more information, click here
